Bonsai garden hours. The bonsai garden is home to both historic and legacy bonsai. All except the tropical species in our conservatory stay outside all year long all day and night. Volunteer docents help visitors with their knowledge of the bonsai and creation of the bonsai garden. We partnered with rai refugee artisan initiative to offer 5 botanical print masks.

Know that the bonsai will be well taken care of and ready to see you when the time comes. Garden admission is 8 per person for adults 1 for children 6 12 years old. The bonsai were donated by well known masters of the art form as well as artists instructors and hobbyists. However we will be open if a docent has agreed to staff the garden.

At time time if we are open the garden will close at 2 30 pm. In the winter we erect enclosures around the trees like mini greenhouses to protect them from extreme temperatures. This permanent collection ensures these precious trees and stones by outstanding masters and collectors will be preserved for everyone s enjoyment. A gallery of trees book.

New england bonsai gardens began life as a single rented greenhouse way back in 1987. Many or our docents are not comfortable staffing the garden at this time. Today it s a sprawling eight acre nursery in bellingham ma complete with eight separate greenhouses and the largest bonsai tree supply collection on the east coast.
