Juniper Bonsai Dry Brittle

Once junipers become brittle they are mostly dead unfortunately.
Juniper bonsai dry brittle. They like to get pretty dry in between watering. The leaves are all very dry throughout the entire tree especially towards the top. Bonsai soil is balanced so that it drains quickly and does not hold as much water as normal gardening soil. Whether it is has been neglected or infected a dying bonsai requires immediate attention if you intend on saving it.
Overwatering is a big problem for indoor junipers. Just like the name suggests root bound bonsai trees will possess a root system that is literally packed in the wrong sized pot. The bases of the top branches are all browned and look very dried out even though there is new green growth still forming from the opposite end. Not every bonsai can be saved from a dying state but with some care and attention your bonsai may have a chance.
Place your potted juniper in an area that will get about 4 hours of sunlight preferrably morning to noon sunlight. Wilt droop and brittle branches are true signs of an ailing bonsai. It might be the case that the dry brittle leaves of your bonsai are not related to under watering. If packed into a container that is too small to house the root system properly your tiny fellows can become root bound.
Give the juniper water when the soil. It sounds like this one is a goner. A dry and brittle bonsai tree is likely not getting watered often enough. The top branches and all of the leaves however are suffering.
